Splinter Cell Series Empty
PostSubject: Splinter Cell Series   Splinter Cell Series EmptyThu Dec 16, 2010 5:19 pm

Splinter Cell is one of my favorite video game series out there. In fact, it's the only reason I even considered buying my Xbox 360. Sam Fisher is incredibly bad ass. He ranks among my favorite video game characters, like Nathan Drake and Lara Croft.

In the games, the player takes control of player character Sam Fisher, an elite intelligence operative. During the missions presented, the smoothest way forward in the majority of the series is to remain hidden, select non-obvious routes, and utilize diversions to pass guards. The game is a combination of problem solving and quick action. Attacks must be swift, stealthy, and decisive to ensure success. Pandora Tomorrow introduced a two-on-two multiplayer mode, pitting two very differently equipped teams against each other. Chaos Theory further developed that mode and introduced a cooperative mode. Cooperative mode plays out very much like the single player mode, yet features a myriad of moves that may only be performed by both players acting as a team. The cooperative storylines in Chaos Theory and the sixth generation version of Double Agent parallel those of Sam's actions in the single-player modes, acting on information he obtained or providing support in the field. Conviction utilized a much faster and more violent form of stealth action gameplay than previous games in the series. Conviction retained the cooperative multiplayer mode of the two preceding games. The narrations for the games are done by Tyrone Wellington, from Los Angeles, California.

Conviction was amazing, I thought Funny I had a lot of fun; it was, to me, proof that some characters can age and still be fun to play as.

I'm playing through the series at the moment. I've finished the first one, and skipped to number 3 (Pandora Tomorrow isn't on Steam. Something to do with it being done by the Shanghai team, maybe?). I'm really enjoying them, I'm on the 2nd Seoul level of CT currently.

Once I get to conviction, I'll switch to 360. I don't want to deal with it's DRM, and also I'm not sure on how my Laptop would handle it technically.
